Today, the Mühlenthal is a local recreation area in the Saarland municipality of Schwalbach. However, one thing has not changed since 1830: In sweaty manual work, people transform what nature gives them into delicacies. And so today Michael Haas runs his distillery exactly where a mill wheel turned in the 19th century.
The young distiller is the fourth generation to run the Mühlenthal distillery and, like his predecessors, concentrates on the production of fruit brandies and liqueurs. The bases for his coveted drops come from the meadow orchards along the Saar and Moselle rivers. The result is high-quality and high-proof drinks of the best quality and variety. In addition to exquisite fruits, manual skills and traditional knowledge, their production takes time.
